Kristof Jeney's new work in "Zeitgeber", at the Gallery in Redchurch Street

Kristof Jeney, Untitled, 2012, aluminium, glass, LED, porcelain, 23 carat caplain gold, 50 x 70 x 10cm

Darbyshire recently had the pleasure of collaborating with artist Kristof Jeney to come up with creative solutions for the challenging and sometimes tricky display needs of this current art works. IlIllusion created with high polished metal and mirrors, and a few secret tricks in between! These works are currently on view in the show "ZEITGEBER" at the Gallery in Redchurch Street.

"ZEITGEBER" will be open this evening as part of First Thursdays, and the show is on until November 24th.

Kristof Jeney's practice is an exploration into human consciousness. His work plays with reflection and illusion in response to his opinions of our devolving society. The viewer is prompted to consider their own existence within Jeneys dualism of perspectives. The use of body, nostalgic accumulations and transformative imagery underpins the reoccurring themes of mortality and life cycles. Working in both photography and sculpture Jeney presents a series of work that carefully captures our fragility.
